Online Church Equals Online Porn?

My pastor recently said in his Sunday message:

You really cannot do church by yourself.  Church was not intended, not designed and can’t really be church without a group of people. You have to be engaged with people.  If your church is out of iTunes and you just sit and watch, it is a little like online porn. It is the idea that you can get what you want and you don’t have to have a relationship to get it. Church is community.  If it is not community, then it is not church.

Is community defined by proximity?

Can you have the same relational depth in a virtual world as you can in a physical world?
