Can Fears Be Roadblocks?

Someone recently asked me, “What are your roadblocks?”

I replied, “What exactly do you mean?”

He said, “Tell me your roadblocks.  You know, your fears”

I found myself reaching deep inside and sharing with him my fears.  I never thought about my fears as roadblocks.  Could it be that I have given my fears permission to block the path God created for me?

I learned that by identifying and vocalizing my fears, I am more adept at working through them.

Here are my fears (and potential roadblocks):

  • failing
  • disappointing my parents
  • portraying a picture that I do not have it all together
  • not having control
  • getting older and being unproductive
  • not having margin in my life

What now?

Hard work.
