Charles Spurgeon, 1834-1892, was a popular preacher, pastor, writer, and theologian. He gave a lecture about how depression precedes a blessing. Here is what he said:
Before any great achievement, some measure of depression is very usual…such was my experience when I first became a pastor in London.
He then added:
This depression comes over me whenever the Lord is preparing a larger blessing for my ministry.
Have you ever had this experience?
