Which Change Is Most Healthy?

Change is inevitable. Period. You can run but you cannot hide. Period.

Typically, people change for one or more of four reasons:

  • when they experience pain
  • when they feel inspired
  • when they are forced to
  • when they enter a new life-cycle

In my experience, I see businesses and churches normally live in a reactive world.  They change after looking in the rearview mirror instead of looking out of their windshield.  What if we looked ahead (vision) to what we wanted to become and made the necessary changes to get us there?  We both know reactive change is desperate, exhausting and often miscalculated.

Yes, there are days when we will be forced to reactively change.  However, may this not be the norm.  Let’s look ahead and strive to navigate our futures and incrementally change to get where we want to go.

Remember that most people, including you, prefer incremental change as opposed to immediate and significant change.

Let’s discover the best way to embrace change and to lead others through change.
