Why Do A Book Study

I love to do a book study.

Reading a book can be a great way to grow and develop your team as leaders.

A book study can offer your team five benefits:

  1. The chance to come together and learn
  2. A conversation exchange that reveals how other team members think
  3. A way to be introduced to new ideas
  4. The ammunition one might need to improve their job performance
  5. A strong way to build on one’s strengths and skills

Feel free to add benefits you have found to be true.

#3 on your list is the most important reason for me. The book studies I’ve been involved in (including a couple with you) forced me to read a book that I wouldn’t have picked out, therefore opening me up to ideas that I wouldn’t have normally run across.

Plus, not everyone interprets the author’s main point correctly. So it’s good to put your heads together on certain points and get it right.
