Answer the following six questions with a simple yes or no:

  1. Do you like to gossip sometimes?
  2. Have you ever pretended to be sick to get out of something?
  3. Have you ever insisted on having your own way?
  4. Before you vote, do you carefully check the qualification of each candidate?
  5. Are you always polite?
  6. Are you always willing to admit it when you’ve made a mistake?

[If you answered no to the first three questions and yes to the next three, you probably have a high need for social approval.]
