Comcast lets you program your cable package.
iPod/iTOUCH/iPHONE lets you program apps and music
iTUNES lets you program what songs you want to hear without buying the entire album…in a playlist you want.
Google lets you pick what you want to use.
Gen Y is a programming generation. In fact, MTV calls them the P-Gen (programmed generation).
They are accustomed to options. They want to program life.
This can be good. This can be dangerous.
What would this look like in universities?
What would this look like in churches?
What would this look like in corporations?
My opinion is that the landscape would look totally different. Do not think you can beat out a Google generation with a Gutenberg mentality.
