Disney World & Guest Services

images
I am trained by the Walt Disney World Institute.  I loved my time down there and the lessons I learned still influence how I handle people and circumstances today.  I could blog about so many lessons the church could learn from Disney World but I will not (at least not right now).

Every Cast Member (employee) is given a small card that explains the 7 Guest Service Guidelines.  In fact, if you were to walk offstage (behind the scenes), you would notice this same list posted for all Cast Members to view.

1.  Be Happy…make eye contact and smile!
2.  Be like Sneezy…greet and welcome each and every guest. Spread the spirit of hospitality..it’s contagious!
3.  Don’t be Bashful…seek out guest contact!
4.  Be like Doc…provide immediate service recovery!
5.  Don’t be Grumpy…always display appropriate body language at all times!
6.  Don’t be Sleepy…create dreams and preserve the magical guest experience!
7. Don’t be Dopey…thank each and every guest!

And yes, they use the Seven Dwarfs for their service guidelines (just in case you missed that:)
