Wedding versus Funeral

I have done a number of weddings and funerals.  I got to thinking the other day about some differences I have experienced.  Just to cover myself, I am not knocking either one.  There are good and “bads” to both.  This post is for fun.  Here are some personal observations:

At a wedding clothes matter more where at a funeral caring matters more.

At a wedding the formality, food, & flowers matter more where at a funeral the family matters more.

At a wedding the eyes matter more where at a funeral the heart matters more.

At a wedding the opinion of others matters more where at a funeral the openness to others matters more.

At a wedding the moment matters more where at a funeral the moments after matter more.

At a wedding the money matters more where at a funeral the memories matter more.

At a wedding the ceremony matters more where at a funeral Christ matters more.
