Encouragement from an Unlikely Place

I must be honest and say that my morning at church was rather discouraging.  These days happen.  Nevertheless, as I was about to leave I started chatting with a wonderful family.  They have a special needs son in his twenties.  My hand rubbed his shoulder as I said how much I liked his shirt.  He then startded rubbing his cheek against my hand mumbling words.  I could not understand him.  His mom said he is saying how he loves you.

He then took his crippled hand and put his finger to his mouth making a kissing noise only to reach over and put it on my hand.  I teared up.  Wow!

I told him I needed that.  I was encouraged.  God used him.

I thought about it as I drove home…who could I encourage that would not see it coming…but really needed it?  What about you?
