Have you ever seen a group of students hanging out at the mall or movie theater? Perhaps they were standing in the way of a door or blocking the walkway. Well, you know there are signs posted now that say, “No Loitering.” They do not want people idly standing around because they feel nothing positive comes from it. They want people to keep moving.
I thought about this and got to thinking about myself and people. How often do we loiter in one place when God’s Word instructs us to keep moving? Why? When we neglect to move, we neglect to grow and go. I know many people think God wants me idle right now. However, I think we might get into semantics. I am saying while God may want you to slow down or absorb the current moment, it does not mean to simply loiter and not find progression in the moment.

Thanks Lance for sharing your thoughts. I agree dude. I often find that “ministers” (and I use that in a paid sense) use their position to hide from something and/or someone. I think that is why a significant number of church plants/launches are present. I have heard it said that it is easier to build something than rebuild something. There are people in need of Jesus Christ. We must build relationships with them based off a leader with passion. And by the way…for those reading, passion is not something you merely enjoy or kind of like to do. Passion is something that you not only want to do everyday but do everyday. Passion is not something you simply factor into your plans. Passion drives the plans.
I wonder how many “ministers” just hang around with no passion, desire, burden, or love for prebelievers? There needs to be a serious house cleaning in the local church leadership! If your not serious about reaching the lost get out and let the next generation do it. YES I used the term prebeliever because they will believe one day! It just may be too late!
