Nehemiah did a great job and building a team in order to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.  I have been to a particular site where the walls were worked on by Nehemiah.  This story is real and there are some great lessons we can learn.  Practice the following with your people:

Keep it simple – narrow your focus to a singular action
Invite others to participate – include as many people as possible
Empower others – match needs with people’s strengths
Inspire people – let them know the why
Do your homework – your planning must be done before execution
Build cooperative environment – teamwork makes the dream work
Party on – celebrate (with your team) the accomplishment

“No great task is accomplished without both people to do the work and a great leader to guide them. And when there is a convergence of the opportunity of the moment, the need of the people, the purpose of the leader, and the calling of God, even the impossible becomes possible.”
