After speaking one night in New Mexico, Jordan Ainsworth, a 17-year old high school senior from Mississippi, wrote a poem about my life and I want to share it with you:
Alone in a room,
Nothing but gloom.
Two hours to live,
What shall I give?
I feel so helpless, but I just can’t give up,
Only 15 years that can’t be enough.
God, I’m not sure I feel so scared,
I just don’t feel prepared.
I give you my heart because you gave it to me,
Now with your love I am finally set free.
I live to tell your message,
I will proudly take a stand.
Because of God’s unfailing love,
I am a brand new man.
